Hallco LIVE FLOORS® - How They Work
A LIVE FLOORS® conveyor is a hydraulically-powered system which uses a series of moving slats to quickly move material across its surface. The design of the slats including length, width and thickness depends upon the application. A two-way, variable speed hydraulic module moves the floor and allows for controlled loading, unloading and precision metering. The size of the Hallco hydraulic module again depends upon the application.
Hallco LIVE FLOORS® for the Wood Industry
Hallco LIVE FLOORS® have been used in the wood products industry for more than 35 years. The wood products industry's needs are what inspired Hallco to build the world's first aluminum decking so chip trailers could carry more load with greater fuel efficiency. Since this beginning more than 35 years ago, Hallco has developed new generations of lighter, tougher floors to haul, store, meter and move wood products.
Hallco LIVE FLOORS® work equally well in trailers and stationary bunkers or bins.
Hallco Industries W Floor
"W" Floor™, has been designed specifically for the refuse industry's requirements for a leak proof floor. By making the subdeck an integrated part of the floor system and placing the heavy-duty aluminum slats on top of it, Hallco has created a leak proof floor that spans the length and width of the trailer. The "W" Floor makes it possible to fully contain liquids, a common feature of refuse hauling. With decades of experience and engineering expertise, you can trust that the new "W" Floor is built to last. Designed with full length bearings to ensure smooth, consistent operation and a full 1/2" thick aluminum slat to handle the toughest loads.

Waste
One of the most efficient ways to move refuse and recyclables is with trailers and stationary bunkers or bins equipped with Hallco a LIVE FLOOR™ conveyor system. Recognized throughout the industry for their performance and reliability, these powerful bi-directional, moving slat floors can turn any transfer trailer into a highly-efficient self-unloader. When used in transfer stations, material recovery facilities and waste-to-energy plants, Live Floor systems are safer and easier to maintain than chain or belt conveyors.
